Giving back to our communities
Community means many things to us. It's making a difference in our neighbourhoods. Building stronger relationships. Participating in corporate social responsibility efforts through Fidelity Cares ®. And volunteering at local schools. Whether you're sharing your skills or fundraising for our charity partner, the ISPCC, you'll discover many ways to create a real and lasting impact.
Our CSR team works closely with our key partners to give back to our communities and connect our associates to year round volunteer opportunities. We're committed to supporting STEM education and fostering a passion for technology within classrooms across Ireland. Click below to learn more about each partnership and initiative.
Communities of Practice and Employee Resource Groups
Join in. Help us fuel best practices. Inspire possibilities through workshops and speaker sessions. Our employee-run networks are at the heart of who we are. They span a wide range of distinct and vibrant areas of interest — each one grounded in mutual respect, driven by knowledge sharing, and open to everyone.
Fidelity Ireland Pride
Fidelity Ireland Pride is more than a connection to other lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allies. It's the chance to support and influence positive change. Cultivate our welcoming and inclusive environment. Join networking talks and events. Help members gain visibility for developmental opportunities. Engage with other LGBTA organisations. And mentor and reach your full potential. This is the very definition of pride.
Women's Leadership Group (WLG)
Lead change. Embrace different perspectives and foster open dialogue. Evolve employee and organisational thinking. Network and share your experiences. Drive Fidelity's values of diversity & inclusion. Open to all employees, the WLG allows you to explore your passions and be part of a strong community — building relationships and addressing topical challenges.
Women in Technology Special Interest Group (WITSIG)
Champion female participation in STEM careers. Empower women to drive success in technology roles. And lead mentoring workshops. Our work includes everything from collaborative companywide events that fuel engagement to community outreach that promotes STEM career opportunities in local schools.
Asian Employee Resource Group in Ireland (AERG)
You'll find a forum for open, honest dialogue. A community of support and mentorship. And the opportunity to strengthen your professional and personal development. AERG Ireland is enhancing awareness of Asian culture through internal and external events. We're delivering cultural insights that foster relationships. And we're helping Fidelity to make a difference.
Communities of Practice
Our communities of practice provide a grassroots model for connecting us all in the spirit of learning, knowledge sharing and collaboration. We fuel best practices. Engage the community. And encourage mutual respect. These employee-led groups cover a wide variety of career specialties and skills — each one a catalyst for your development and a platform for innovation.
Learning & Development
Deepen your knowledge. Add to your functional expertise. Coach others to their full potential. And then discover what's next. We offer a wide range of development solutions — online, in room, via mentoring or with lateral career moves. We're invested in your personal growth because you're central to our success.
Technical Certification through Self Study
We encourage and support the ongoing technical certification of all our associates. You'll have relevant study aids and examination enrolment, putting you in a great position to gain certification in a broad range of technical paths (e.g. Sun Certified Architect, Oracle Certified Professional).
We'll fund alternate tertiary development up to the value of €3,500 per person per year. This funding covers your tuition or college fees. And when you're not worried about money, you can just set your sights on achieving excellent results.
Our classroom development focuses on technical, professional and management areas. Classes are scheduled throughout the year, so you have the skills and opportunities to develop a diverse range of competencies.
Experienced associates can enrich their development by utilising the skills and experience of senior leaders. Our well-established mentoring programme focuses on both technical and managerial competencies.
You'll have access to a comprehensive library of varied courses, focused on building technical and professional skills, as well as an in-depth look at the financial services industry. This courseware allows you to experience training at your own desks, or from the comfort of your home office.
We've created an award-winning website to help develop your capabilities in ways that are uniquely engaging and accelerate the integration of new skills. With a focus on managers, this site has in-depth courses on leadership styles and skills, as well as quick-learn tutorials, including podcasts, videos, PDFs, PowerPoints and more.
The Global Services Rotation Program
Gain on-the-ground global work experience, while maintaining your home role. This program helps you build your leadership skills with a global mindset and openness to global mobility. These rotations are typically an 89-day partnership between extended teams in multiple countries.
